I was browsing on the web and came across an article that was published in 'Psychic News' on May 2, 2009. As I think the piece is very relevant, I am mentioning it here for the sake of those horses. My Irish, Great Grandmother bought 'Psychic News' from its very beginning, in the early 1930's. She was a natural medium and psychic, who often saw spirit animals, on one occasion (and I may have mentioned this somewhere else on Critters Anonymous), she actually saw spirit mice running up the curtains.
The Celts believed that any animal with a personality, had a soul and that obviously includes mice too. Modern day followers of the Celtic religion often communicate with animal spirits. It was also believed that trees could sometimes be reincarnated as humans or animals.
Epona is the Celtic Goddess of Horses and so people who disagree with horse racing should call on the energies of Epona to help these lovely creatures in their plight.
